Hot Italian food and fresh bread, any hour, any day.
Commisso Bakery has been baking traditional Italian bread and stocking a hot table of fresh Italian favourites in Toronto since 1957, using family recipes from the Calabria region of Italy.
A Toronto Landmark Since 1957
Commisso Bakery has become a Toronto landmark, famous for our hot table stocked around the clock with fresh pasta, fish, chicken, veal, soup, vegetables and even pizza, alongside a deli of favourite meats and cheeses for building the perfect sandwich.
Our breads still use the traditional recipes and baking secrets handed down by our family from the Calabria region of Italy, generations ago. Whether you need a late-night snack, a quick take-out lunch, or to stock up on groceries, we're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to serve your needs.
What Toronto Says
★★★★★One of my favourite spots in the city. Been going to both locations for years. My go-to order is the spicy veal cutlet sandwich with mushrooms, onions, and hot peppers. Highly recommended.
“We went here about 8:30 pm and got the best Eggplant parmesan! It was so delicious and the portion is very generous! The staff is so friendly.”
“This place was a frequent stop on Jane street some 20 to 30 years ago. It still tastes excellent. We had chicken parm and a pork sandwich. Both were very moist and excellent. There is a wide array of hot food, lots of sandwiches, as well as pasta to choose from.”
